My Personal Learning Network

A PLN (Personal Learning Network) is describing a social network that teaches students to be listeners and give feed back, that every opinion is accepted. In EDM 310 I have learned numerous of skills to accommodate with teaching. Social network cites as an facebook, blogging or twittering excites me the most for student education, because students already consider it a state of their own where they can create their own classroom and curriculum that is more interesting so why not accommodate as a educational tool. In these social networks students are able to exchange ideas and answers question. Designs of student pages will show their personality for social networks that enables you to modify page. By me enabling this PLN with facebook, twittering, or blogger I'm able to communicate with other teachers exchange different teaching techniques.

Bye Bye Edm 310

Yes,it's finally over!!!!!!! But, no Dr. Strange I really enjoyed of learning all the free the things their are available for even better use in the educational field. Dr. Strange taught me that theirs nothing wrong with an mistake no one is perfect and to be a listener. I also enjoyed putting the things that are fun and connecting them with educational use of teaching techniques. As of different social networks and gmail. The one thing I regret doing was not be able to use the Google earth I was really excited about using it, it seemed neat. One of things I can change would be how Dr. Strange wonders off into space as he goes in great details of some lectures and loses the class, but no Dr. Strange is still one of the coolest professors South Alabama.

Me Jamrcus, Jessica, and Marissa teamed up together to explain the difference between teacher tube and you tube theirs really not much difference both are the same. However, you tube enables you to much more explicit things up and a variety of different videos can viewed and uploaded. Teacher Tube is more mostly for teachers and learners can come connect to upload or view teaching styles in videos of educational standards.

Seven Stupid Mistakes and New Classroom Rules

One of my favorite statements from Seven Stupid Mistakes article was the 4th one that people think their conversation online are private. It's very interested know that our school e-mails can be requested and must be produced if germane to any federal lawsuits and even e-mail deleted from your computer still sits on servers somewhere often for a very long time.
The second statement that was cool to hear was the first statement, because you will think a teacher will be prepare to have data place somewhere else in case of something terrible was to happen. It brings out the difference between rookie teachers and vet teachers, but I wouldn't necessarily call them stupid it's more amusing.
In this article Doug Johnson shows us that people don't think before they do anything they just react without judging. The article is very helpful to rookie teachers for they want follow up under none of these categories.

Well in the New Classroom Rules article its basically a transformation from grade school to college. Reason why is the things that's not highlighted in front of the sentence mostly going be rules from grade school. Now being that college most treat college students like adults and less stricter than grade schools everything that's highlighted in green at the end of the sentence.
For example, statement 3 leave your seat only when necessary, which should be often to go collaborate with others or demonstrate something to the class. In grade school your teacher don't want you move without their permission, but in college you can do as you please and may often do a lot of group activities to show working skills.
Another example, is statement 4 bring required materials, including your laptop and cell phone every day. Materials are usually pencil and paper for grade school, but for college you need your lab-top and some classes may require cell phone. So , for more reading's of New Classroom Rules Click Here

2.0 Profeffseional Teachers Collaborating

I think it's great to see and here these teachers being able to collaborate on Ideas and spread details about different worldwide events as an the Fundred Project. The gadgets use are no different from our class blogs to me. Main difference is that teachers faithfully use as like their journal to write their experience and share with other teachers.

One of the post that stood out to me was the teacher used twitter a social network to help a sick teacher, because she didn't know what to give that teacher students to do in class when they were done with their assign work. This was very quick thinking from the teacher because from her putting that on twitter she was able to get plenty of response in seconds and that shows you why all teachers needs to be tech literate.

Skype was also shared in some of the posts that enables students and teachers to communicate across the country easier, which I have the pleasure of using in Dr. Strange Edm 310 class. I find it's very helpful not even just to talk across the country, but even just to use as simple phone. A main reason is because it's free and long as you and your partner have the program skype your conversation is free, so I really appreciate Dr. Strange for introducing me to this for I can use in my future classroom to show my class something cool.

Toward A New Future of Whatever - Michael Wesch

New media is a good way to speak and to help you find out more about yourself. The quotes that were presented earlier in years about different events of the past in Mr. Wesc video still can fit with present events that happen in today's time frame.

Mr.Wesc gives a good example of a new media technology as use when people blog, facebook, twitter, youtube, and other different social networks that people are not talking to actual people but their speaking through a camera or computer in their privacy. I know for me as example when I have to stand up in front of my class and speak I'm very nervous and sometimes find myself forgetting words and stuttering. However, on facebook being that billions of people can acknowledge what I do I'm a fool without shyness and I just think Mr.Wesc made a true point how these new medias can help emerge to change the world towards the future in many different languages as he stated in this world to do especially with youtube.

Important for students to post work from blogs

Students need to be able to give different examples of whats going on what they are talking about or viewing to be sure they comprehend the right idea out of it. Then you never you might need to reflect back on to your information for future references. Other, can also look at a students blog for help they might need with the same problem or an idea and the student blog might be a good tool for them to reflect to.

Randy Paucsh lecture was a very good resourceful speech for young kids and adults. He let everyone know don't be afraid to live your dreams and don't let your kids be afraid to mess up in life, this video was seen in youtube and teacher tube also have plenty more videos about different teaching techniques and others professors lectures who you can refer back to.

Ipods is another good resourceful electronic device that enables you to do things without even carrying around a lab top or paying a phone bill. Students need to speak more of Ipods because many people don't realize how helpful they can be use as Duke students used them in the classroom.CLICK HERE for further Duke Info

Blogging to the little kids is very helpful to them and us as future teachers it kind of gets ready for real world working with small children and the students enjoy talking to us. We feel much more as a role model because they working their selves up where we are and by us conversation with them and responding we give them initiative that college isn't so bad that they can make it. Students from different parts of the country can also have a lot to learn from each other seems to different techniques all over the world and this just another way to learn many things.
